To become the property owner, you pay so-called acquisition costs — and incidental acquisition costs.
The purchase price is one of the acquisition costs. But that's not all. If you've bought a plot of land on which you want to build (or have built) a house yourself, you may also have to pay development costs, e.g., for energy, water and Internet lines. If there is a house on the property to be demolished, you will also pay the fees for that.
In the case of existing properties, one or more craftsmen may have to go through and lend a hand. They will then incur costs for renovations, refurbishments, or modernizations. These are also part of the acquisition costs.
